The Diabetic clinics are run by the practice nursing team. All diabetic patients are invited for an annual check.
The first appointment is to carry out blood and urine tests, check height, weight and blood pressure and carry out a foot check. These tests will be recorded on your medical record and a follow-up appointment will be made with a practice nurse or pharmacist.
Our practice nurse or pharmacist will then discuss these results with you and make suggestions to optimise your treatments, where appropriate they will seek advise from a GP who leads in diabetes care.
