About us

Deddington Health Centre is a practice in the north of Oxfordshire, set in the very attractive village of Deddington which is on the edge of the Cotswolds. The practice is in a very rural setting in that the nearest towns are 5 or more miles away. There is Banbury to the north, Chipping Norton to the west, Brackley to the east, and Woodstock, Kidlington and Bicester further south. The Practice draws its’ population from 48 villages that cover over 200 square miles which can be seen on our practice boundary area that we cover. Because of the rural nature of the area we cover the Practice has a dispensary, which provides the medication prescribed by the clinicians to some of our patients.

The Practice was purpose built in 1971 to provide healthcare to 7000 patients. It was extended in the early 1980’s and now provides healthcare to approximately 12,500 patients. There are 3 GP partners at the Practice and 9 salaried GPs.

The practice philosophy is to provide excellent quality medical care within a personalised framework. Our practice team consists of GPs, a nursing team, paramedics, pharmacy Team, patient services, dispensers and medical secretaries, first contact physiotherapists, and wellbeing workers who all aim to provide a first class service within a busy medical setting.
