Contact Us via the Advice & Appointments Hub
You can contact a doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional online using our Advice & Appointments Hub.
We are not an emergency service. For medical emergencies, call 999 or go to A&E.
Submitting an Appointment Request (Urgent or Routine)
All appointment requests—urgent or routine—are submitted in the same way via our Advice & Appointments Hub (Monday to Friday during opening times).
A GP will review your request the same day and decide the appropriate next steps.
You can also use your NHS account (NHS App or NHS website) to request or book appointments.
More information on how to set up your NHS App can be found here How to register with the NHS app.
If you are unable to access online services, please call 01869 338611 and our reception team will complete the form on your behalf.
Please note: phone lines are reserved for urgent queries from patients who cannot access online services between 8am to 9am.
The submitted form will be reviewed by a GP. They may ask further questions so please monitor your messages.
What happens next
If your request is urgent
If the GP decides you need same-day care, you may be offered:
- a same-day face to face appointment, or
- a same-day phone consultation with the most appropriate clinician or
- signposting to another appropriate service
Please ensure you are available to answer your phone and attend the surgery that day if required. Same-day appointments are booked in time order so there is very little flexibility on timing.
If your request is routine
The GP may:
- send you a link to book a semi-urgent (within 2 weeks) or routine GP appointment (within 6 weeks)
- provide self-care advice
- signpost you to another appropriate service
Appointment booking links remain active for 7 days.
If you cannot use online links, our team will arrange the appointment for you.
If you feel it is more urgent or symptoms worsen, please call the surgery, or 111 out of hours.
Continuity of care
Seeing the same doctor improves your overall care. If you have a usual GP, please let us know so we can prioritise booking with them.
Nurse appointments
Nurse appointments can be arranged by calling Reception between 9am to 6:30pm, or by submitting an online request via the Advice & Appointments Hub.
If you have received a Cervical Screening invite from the NHS you can book this directly via your NHS App.
Enhanced access
Our Primary Care Network also delivers enhanced access hours. Each of the member Practices open for additional hours either prior to 8am or between 6:30pm and 8pm, Monday to Friday or 8am to 5pm on Saturday.
Deddington Health Centre offers some nursing team appointments prior to 8am and a monthly Saturday.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- use the Advice and Appointments hub service
- phone us on 01869 338611 and select option 2
Using any of these options to cancel in plenty of time means that your appointment can be used for someone else.
If you know you will be late for an appointment, please also phone the practice to let us know as the Healthcare Professional may be able to see the next patient first. This avoids making the practice run late, we cannot guarantee that you will be seen if you arrive more than 10 minutes after your appointment’s original start time.
If you need help when we are closed
Use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment

- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face to face, by video call or by text or email
